Society for Asian and Comparative Philosophy
49th Annual Conference
June 9-12, 2017

Peking University, Beijing, China

Deadline for Abstracts and Proposals: Feb 10, 2017

The 49th Annual Conference of the Society for Asian and Comparative Philosophy (http://www.sacpweb.org/) will be hosted by the Department of Philosophy, Peking University, Beijing, China.

The conference theme, “The Paradigm and Values of Chinese Philosophy within a Global Context,” is broadly designed to invite scholars representing Asian and Non-Western traditions, as well as those who employ cross-cultural philosophical analysis. The conference is not limited to those working in Chinese philosophy, and the SACP board especially welcomes proposals addressing action and change. In addition, those who wish to participate are encouraged to submit abstracts and presentations on the widest variety of topics that correspond to their special areas of interest, so long as they engage in some way with Asian and/or Comparative philosophies.

Request for SACP 2017 Annual Dues

Dear Colleagues and Friends,

I am writing you on behalf of the Board of Directors for the SACP. 2017 is upon us, and the activities of the SACP for this calendar year require the financial support of its members. I kindly request that you send your annual dues to us by February 28th. Hopefully you will find these affordable—annual dues are only $45 ($30 for students). Payment can be submitted through either Paypal (the preferred method, since it saves on time and paperwork) or by check. Please see below for further instructions on how to submit payment.

On behalf of the SACP, I thank you in advance for your support and hope to see you in Beijing this June for our 49th annual conference.

Warm wishes,

Geoff Ashton
SACP Treasurer
