Dear all,

The 51st SACP conference at Bath Spa University is just a week away (June 18-21).

If you will be attending the conference, I very much look forward to seeing you in Bath.

For those of you who couldn’t make it to this year’s conference, I hope you can join the conference next year.

Today I am writing with two agendas:

  1. Call for Nomination for VP:

This year is an SACP election year. My term as president will end at the end of this calendar year. Bryan van Norden, current VP, will assume his presidency in January 1, 2020 and we will elect a new VP in the fall. I open a call for nomination for VP with this email.

  1. Call for the Venue for SACP 2020:

I also open a call to submit your candidacy to host the 52nd annual conference of the SACP in 2020. I ask the representative of the university which has an intention to host next year’s conference to send your intention. As in the past years, the representatives who attend the conference will have an opportunity to present about your university at the general meeting.

Please send your VP nomination and/or the intention to host next year’s conference to the Secretary of the Society, Marzenna Jakubczak at sacp.conference@PROTECTED. We will receive the submission until the general meeting (also at the general meeting) which is scheduled for June 20, 2019 (Thursday) 6:45-7:30.

If you have questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

We look forward to receiving your submissions.

Best,

Jin

The Society seeks to provide the professional outlet for philosophers doing work in non-Western and comparative areas of philosophy. The group serves as the largest and most well-known professional organization for scholars in the fields of Asian and global philosophy.
