Greetings SACP Members,
As announced at the annual meeting, the SACP needs to elect a new secretary to replace Jeremy Henkel, who is stepping down. The secretary serves a 3-year term, renewable once without vote.
One candidate has accepted the nomination for secretary: Kevin Taylor. Kevin has submitted a statement of interest and a CV, which you can find attached to this email. Because there is only one candidate, the vote will operate as a referendum: you will be asked to indicate whether you assent or do not assent to Kevin’s being elected secretary. If a majority of those voting assent, Kevin will be elected. Please note that the deadline for casting your vote is August 15, 2025.

The Society for Asian and Comparative Philosophy was established in 1967 as a non-profit organization aimed at advancing the development of the disciplines of Asian and comparative philosophy in the international academic arena, and bringing together Asian and Western philosophers, as well as other scholars interested in Asian and world philosophy, for a mutually beneficial exchange of ideas.
