Dear Members of the SACP,
This is a brief announcement about our next conference.
Two things to share here:
1. The conference is set to take place at the University of San Francisco in Fall 2023, tentatively on November 9-11, 2023. We hope to be able to confirm this by the end of November 2022. (The cause for this delay is that the process by which we reserve space on campus at USF has become more complicated than usual due to covid protocols.)
2. Given that so much time has passed since we decided upon our next annual conference theme (this decision was made in Bath, England, in Summer 2019), we have decided to keep the Call for Papers open. Please stay tuned for more details (again: hopefully by the end of November 2022).
*We will of course welcome submissions on the previously intended theme.
Thank you for your patience and understanding about these issues.
With best wishes,
The SACP Board
This mailing list is announce-only.
The Society for Asian and Comparative Philosophy was established in 1967 as a non-profit organization aimed at advancing the development of the disciplines of Asian and comparative philosophy in the international academic arena, and bringing together Asian and Western philosophers, as well as other scholars interested in Asian and world philosophy, for a mutually beneficial exchange of ideas. The Society seeks to provide the professional outlet for philosophers doing work in non-Western and comparative areas of philosophy. The group serves as the largest and most well-known professional organization for scholars in the fields of Asian and global philosophy.
